Hi, I'm Richard. I've taught in schools, coached musicians who now tour internationally, and helped plenty of kids land their first proper chord. These days I teach guitar, bass and ukulele online from my own home studio - every age, every level, and none of that school-style rigidity.
Why learn with me?
I'll be straight with you: learning an instrument — and the music theory that goes with it — is difficult. I'm not going to dress that up. But a good teacher helps you find the shortcuts, and that's exactly what I do. I don't do prescriptive, school-style lessons; I'm personable, I listen, and I show you the quickest route to playing the songs you actually want to play.

I've sat on the other side of the exam room, so I know exactly what ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity examiners are listening for. I'll get you genuinely ready — confident, not crammed.
You'll hear every note properly
Good mic, good interface, clean picture — I built my setup so online lessons actually sound like we're in the same room. Hard to fix your picking if you can't hear it clearly.
